Tourism Info

The Regency of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia is rich with various local art cultures and scenic beauty spots. Every you can enjoy all sort local culture attractions without any difficulty. It's beautiful nature life, kindly sociable citizen and unique arts and cultural with its position between golden triangle path tourism place (Bali, Tana Toraja, and Komodo Island) make Bima Regency become one of attractive place to be visited by local or foreign tourists.

How To Get There?

You must know Bali, for it’s very well known by people around the world. By there, you could use land transportation, boat, or airplane and destinated to Lombok Island (West Nusa Tenggara). You could stay here for a moment (Lombok is one of tourist's favourite place to go too), or go straight to Sumbawa Island (Island where Bima 's located also in West Nusa Tenggara Province) except by airplane, you be able to fly straight to Bima City from Bali or Lombok (three times a week). The alternate way is from East Nusa Tenggara (from Kupang City by airplane), or by land and boat from Labuan Bajo, passed The Komodo Island straight to Sape Town port (Bima Regency) or to Bima City harbour.


Ok, then, lets look some kind of Bima's Tourism Objects which may considered you all to visit when you come in!

1. Kalaki Beach

Kalaki is one of marine tourism object, it’s located around Bima gulf zone with many kinds of interesting objects to see, such as white beach, quite ocean, and mountain natural panorama around it which giving special supported to Kalaki Distric. Kalaki beach is suitable for traditional boat racing, swimming contes, fishing contes, and aviable many public facilities such as children activity, rental boat, making trip around Bima gulf, jet sky, wind surfing boat and others.

2. Wawo Traditional Village

This one is a traditional village. It’s location is on the hill of southern part of Wawo district. In this village there is a group of Uma Lengge (the traditional house of the villagers). It’s construction consist of three floors. The upper part is used to store some rices, middle part is to live, and the lower part is used to breed the animal. It’s taken 38 kms from Bima City.

3. The Palace of Bima

The Palace of Bima was constructed with mixed Europan style and traditional Bima style in 1927 by Mr. Obzichteer Rehata. It’s now become the museum where you can see various pieces and clothes of Bima Royal Family. Some goods are made by themselves and other by private blacksmith. The most part of it is made by gold or gilt. You also could imaginary about the lived of Sultanate at that time.

4. Sambori Primitive Village

The Sambori Village is one of the village which exist on South part of Wawo Subdistrict, with it's distance 2 hours by use public transportation. This village has specificly community and use Bima original language (Nggahi Mbojo).




5. Snake Island

Snake Island is one of the Island in the middle ocean. It lies in west part of Wera subdistrict region also near with two interesting tourism object such as Gilibanta and Torowamba beach. This Island’s named Snake because there are place of snakes habitation (specially sea snake species with two colours; white silver and black). However, snakes on this island is familiar and friendly with human (visitors). This Island can be reach by traditional boat in 15 minutes off the land.
