The History of Bima Regency

Bima had had a long story and took a root into history. With version of Bo's Script ( Kingdom of Bima's ancient manuscript ), the visited one of the traveler also nobility from Java, named Sang Bima in Satonda Island was a former of Bima's King generations. During the time, area of Bima was seperate within the leader power called Ncuhi. Ncuhi was a traditional charismatic person who had some abilities and divined power more than other civilians. As a leader, he was hounored and respected by them.

For next coursed, Sang Bima's son named Indra Zamrud and his brother Indra Komala came to Bima. Indra Zamrud was the first King of Bima (in year 16 until 17 ) and he brought Islam religion into this land. It raised into glory evermore. At 5th of July 1640 was a time where happened a goverment system transition from Kingdom to Sultanate System. It progressed about more than 3 centuries long.

In 1951, after died of 14th Sultan, Muhammad Salahuddin, Bima entered independence era. The Sultanate System sidetracked to be Swapraja County and than, the last, become a Regency Area. And until this blog's writing, Bima Regency has own 18 subdistrict and 168 villages. ( General Description of Bima Regency will add soon!!)....... :)
